Our company designs and manufactures highly reliable electronic components and systems for the aerospace, defense, medical, industrial and scientific markets.
Our site of 400 employees brings together research and development teams, production workshops and support services for 2 business units:
Machine Vision sensors (MVS) for image sensors and cameras for space, industrial and medical applications.
Semiconductors for fast microprocessors and data converters with aerospace and defence applications.

Role
We are eager to offer a unique opportunity for candidates able to play a dual role: as a team leader of Market Development team and as an individual contributor to said team as a technology scout.
As Director of the Market Development team in Teledyne machine vision sensors (MVS) you'll lead a rugged team consisting of five product/sectorial business leaders, each having a team consisting of project managers and product marketing engineers, that constructs the imaging solutions to release in next 3 years, both internally (R&D) and externally (customer) funded, always in close cooperation with our market-leading customers.
In your technology scout role you will actively source new technology partners and assess their capabilities, synthesize learnings and help report out to the broader teams, conduct due diligence analysis for key partnerships, and manage relationships with universities and startups. You will work with the Market Development and the Product Development teams in feasibility assessment of said concept ideas in the markets currently addressed by the business, but also research market potential for the identified technologies in new markets. Your curiosity and motivation will be key to keep our day-to-day operation moving forward.
Primary Responsibilities
Support the market development team and their business leaders to enable them doing their job effectively and represent them in Teledyne MVS leadership team helping to make the right business decisions.
Actively source new technology partners by attending industry events, meeting startups or leveraging tech and investor networks to feed our internal product development strategy
Identify potential partner (startups, R&D centers, university departments, etc.), reach out, meet them and test their technologies in conjunction with our existing or future products.
Connect with internal teams to identify areas of interest to focus scouting efforts
Potentially help conducting due diligence of investment targets that could include product-market fit and competitiveness, business (revenue) model, valuation, business risks, strategic fit…
Required Education and Experience
Master's Degree in electrical engineering or related field
5+ years experience in a tech scout role for a tech company, ideally imaging related.
Prior experience in product development, product marketing and/or project management is appreciated
Skills and Abilities

Excellent organization skills, ability to manage many processes and relationships at the same time
