We are looking for a GSMC Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Engineer to work in Saint-Germain-en-Laye, in France, nearby Paris.

What is expected from you:

Logistic support organisation

Audit the current logistic support organization and make recommendations.Support GSMC in Galileo ILS Working Groups.Support the establishment of contracts for the repair (L2/L3 maintenance) and supply of spare parts.Consolidate the justification for the provision of spares with RAMS analysis, lessons learnt, obsolescence surveys and recommendations from the design authorities.Contribute to the consolidation of the GSMC Configuration management database (CMDB) with logistic support information, including status of spare stock.Provide requirements for the Packaging, Handling, Storage and Transportation (PHS&T); Depending on the nature of the equipment (server, clock, receiver,…), the criticality (e.g. obsolete, limited number of spares, dangerous good, …) of the equipment.Propose an organization of the storage and warehouse, considering the new GSMC building capabilities, and potentially the role of GSOp and the Galileo Integrated Logistic Support Centre.Identify the specificities for the COMSEC items and propose solutions for the disposal of sensitive hardware when reaching end-of-life.

Follow-up of the Maintenance process, reporting on its implementation (interfacing with the OPS team) and updating the Maintenance preventive database;Follow-up of the implementation of the new standby duty organisation, correcting potential discrepancies in the process documentation.Availabilty to travel in Europe is mandatory

What you offer

Engineering Master degree (Master/Diploma/PhD) or equivalent qualification preferably in Space, Avionics, RF or Computer Science5 years+ of work experience as ILS engineer, gained in a professional position in the Space industry preferably within an international context.Experience in System Engineering, Maintenance and associated processesExperience in basic programming and/or scriptingKnowledge of GNSS, Galileo and ECSSFluency in English is mandatory. Fluency in English is mandatory. A knowledge of another European language is an advantage

For this position, the following Technical skills are required for the ILS Engineer:

Expertise in Logistics support in term of process, standards, organization, contracts, planning and implementationKnowledge of ECSS and/or ISO 16091-5Knowledge in the disposal and sanitization of classified equipment would be appreciatedExpertise in system engineering activities including designing, building/delivering, validation and the development of operations, ILS, and maintenanceAutonomy and efficiency to produce Process documentationRelevant experience in development and operation of an operational security centre, including the development of concepts, procedures and supporting processes

Expertise in Logistics support in term of process, standards, organization, contracts, planning and implementation

Knowledge of ECSS and/or ISO 16091-5

Knowledge in the disposal and sanitization of classified equipment would be appreciated

Expertise in system engineering activities including designing, building/delivering, validation and the development of operations, ILS, and maintenance

Autonomy and efficiency to produce Process documentation

Relevant experience in development and operation of an operational security centre, including the development of concepts, procedures and supporting processes
